PORT JERVIS – Police are investigating
the discovery of a dead 44-year-old woman on a section of undeveloped
property near the entrance of the Port Jervis Middle School. The body
was found around 5:44 a.m. on Saturday on land adjacent to the former
Advance Fuel property used for parking of motor vehicles.
The cause of death is under investigation and the woman’s identity
is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Port Jervis Police are asking anyone who may have knowledge or information
about the investigation to call them at 845-856-5101.
Port Jervis Police are being assisted by the State Police Forensic Identification
Unit, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and Medical Examiner’s
Office.
