TOWN OF NEWBURGH – The town board is on record in support of two proposed medical marijuana farms in Newburgh.
The state is considering selecting up to six such facilities and two that have been proposed for the Town of Newburgh have both been endorsed, said Town Supervisor Gilbert Piaquadio.
“There is Medi-Grow Organics, and that’s the one on Route 300 and the other one is Hudson Health Products, and that’s the one going on Governor’s Drive,” Piaquadio said. “The board felt there really was a need for this medical marijuana. Maybe it can help someone. We went with both of them.”
The state also plans to select up to another six sites for sales and distribution of medical marijuana.
