FISHKILL – Longtime Fishkill resident
Ozzy Albra announced his intention to run for Fishkill town supervisor
on the Democratic line. He has received the unanimous endorsement of the
town’s Democratic committee.

He will face incumbent Republican Robert LaColla in the November general
election.

Albra said he wants to “restore trust and confidence” in town
hall as he has grown “frustrated with the current administration’s
disregard for the taxpayer and lack of transparency.”

“Mr. Albra’s breadth of knowledge on all the issues facing
Fishkill was quite impressive,” said Town Democrat Chairman Kevin
McCarthy. “During his interview with our committee he clearly showed
that administering the town as a business and working in lock step with
the developers was just not working,” McCarthy said.

Albra began his career in law enforcement as a corrections officer in
Westchester County and went on to become a police officer in the Town
of Bedford.
