FISHKILL – A Queens woman has been
arrested for trying to smuggle prison contraband into Downstate Correctional
Facility in Fishkill.
State Police charged Jenny Balthazard, 23, of Cambria Heights with promoting
prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both
as misdemeanors.
She was arrested last Thursday as she entered the facility with synthetic
marijuana as she came to Fishkill to visit an inmate.
Balthazard was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Fishkill Town
Court at a later date.
