MONTEBELLO – A report of fire at a house at 130 Spook Rock Road in the Village of Montebello Tuesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of the homeowner on charges that he was operating a marijuana grow house.
Monsey firefighters found no fire when called to the scene around 2:50 p.m., but Ramapo Police found 91 marijuana plants in the basement along with growing equipment.
Bart Gaber, 60, was arrested on a charge of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He is in the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
