Career criminal sentenced for assaulting police officer

WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon man was sentenced Wednesday in Westchester County Court for striking a Yonkers police officer with a vehicle, causing serious injuries.
Leroi Bouche, 28, will spend up to nine years in prison.  He pled guilty to felony attempted aggravated assault in connection with the June 6, 2014 incident in a rear parking lot at 630 East Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon at about 7:15 a.m.
The detective was a member of the Westchester District Attorney’s Narcotics Initiative. Bouche allegedly speed toward the officer, striking and seriously injuring him. The officer was taken to the hospital where he remained for several days.
Bouche fled on foot and was located on June 12 in the Bronx.
