MONTICELLO – The Town of Thompson
Democratic Committee has endorsed its slate of candidates for the November
elections.
The county legislature District 8, the committee backed incumbent Ira
Steingart. For District 9, they endorsed Aleta Gomez.
For town supervisor, the committee endorsed incumbent William Rieber,
who has served as supervisor for the last two years and was a town board
member for 31 years.
For town justice, the committee endorsed Steven Mogel.
For town board, the committee endorsed incumbent Peter Briggs and Victor
Marinello. Briggs has been on the town board for 12 years and Marinello
was a Monticello Village trustee for 12 years and deputy mayor for four
years.
