KINGSTON – The number of single-family homes sold in Ulster County in April rose compared to the same month last year.
The Ulster County Board of Realtors reported 101 homes sold this April compared to 87 the year before.
The average price of a home also rose, by more than $20,000. In April, the average price was $249,445 compared with last April, at $227,322.
The days on the market remained the same, at 190/191.
Total home sales in the first four months of the year also grew, from 311 last year to 340 this year. The average selling price, year over year, however, fell, from $227,306 in 2014 to $214,354 this year.
Homes were on the market for 10 fewer days so far this year, at 171, compared to 181 during the same four-month period last year.
