Stahli: murder conviction
KINGSTON – A jury of seven women and five men Friday found Kenneth
Stahli, 26, of Milton guilty of murder in the death of two-year-old Mason
Decosmo.
The child was the son of Stahli’s girlfriend.
An autopsy revealed the child died of blunt force trauma.
“Nothing we have done can undo what has happened to Mason but, frankly,
the idea of releasing this defendant to the public was untenable,”
said Ulster County District Attorney Holley Carnright.
Stahli will be sentenced next month.
Police had been called to the woman’s home at 16 Walnut Lane in
Milton on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 for a report of an unresponsive child.
He was pronounced dead at Vassar Brothers Hospital.
