Monticello man arrested for burglary of Shortline bus terminal

MONTICELL0 – A Monticello man was remanded to the Sullivan County
Jail on bail following his arrest for allegedly breaking into the Shortline
bus terminal in Monticello when it was closed.

Village Police charged Travis Brooker, 25, on Friday on charges of felony
burglary and criminal mischief.

It is alleged that at 12:25 a.m. on November 7, 2014, he broke into the
terminal by breaking and climbing through an office window.

Brooker had cut himself on glass during the burglary and officers were
able to recover blood evidence at the scene. A DNA hit on the evidence
led to his arrest.

He was arraigned and remanded to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Brooker is also wanted by State Police at Middletown on an arrest warrant
for petit larceny under an alias of Travis Ryder and by City of Yonkers
Police on a bench warrant for endangering the welfare of a child under
the alias name of Travis Wright.
