STEWART AIRPORT – If you live near
Stewart Airport and hear sirens and see emergency vehicles racing to the
facility on Saturday morning, don’t panic. It is just a drill.

The emergency response drill will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

The incident will simulate an aircraft incident, will have no impact on
flight operations, but airline passenger and motorist may see smoke and
rescue workers in and around the airport.

Participants in the drill will include the New York Air National Guard
Fire Department, State Police, Stewart Airport and Jet Blue Airways staff,
federal law enforcement agencies, and several mutual aid fire departments
and EMS.
