Nunez
KINGSTON – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested in Ulster County and charged in an indictment with felonies of grand larceny, insurance fraud and five counts of falsifying business records.
The indictment alleges that in 2014, Gilberto Nunez, 47, of Henry Street in Poughkeepsie stole $8,400 from an insurance company based on several fraudulent insurance claims.
Bail was set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond, which Nunez posted. He was ordered to surrender his passport.
The investigation was conducted by police in City of Kingston and Town of Ulster, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, which is acting as special prosecutor in the case.
