Nunez
KINGSTON – A Poughkeepsie man has been arrested in Ulster County
and charged in an indictment with felonies of grand larceny, insurance
fraud and five counts of falsifying business records.
The indictment alleges that in 2014 Gilberto Nunez, 47, of Henry Street
in Poughkeepsie stole $8,400 from an insurance company based on several
fraudulent insurance acts.
Bail was set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. Ulster County Court Judge
Donald Williams ordered Nunez to surrender his passport. Nunez posted
bail.
The investigation was conducted by City of Kingston and Town of Ulster
Police, and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, which
is acting as special prosecutor in the case.
