TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A Danbury, Connecticut man was killed Tuesday night when his car struck another vehicle while both were traveling on I-684 north.
State Police said Israel Albarracin, 37, was driving an SUV that struck a sedan driven by Raymond Finney, 27, of Carmel in the rear passenger side.
Albarracin’s vehicle ran off the road, rolled over and struck a tree. He was dead at the scene from apparent head trauma.
Finney was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the crash, or moments leading up to it, is asked to call Investigator Stirpe at 914-277-3177.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Brewster Fire Department, Transcare and the Danbury Police Department.
