Marlboro hires new superintendent of schools

MARLBORO – The assistant superintendent for instruction in the Cornwall Central School District has been hired as the new superintendent in the Marlboro Central School District.
Michael Brooks will assume his new role on July 1.
His administrative experience includes serving as principal and assistant principal of Cornwall High School as well as an assistant principal in Middletown.  He began his educational career in 1989 as a science teacher in grades seven through nine at Washingtonville Middle School where he served for 11 years.
Brooks was selected for the top Marlboro job from a pool of 20 applicants following an evaluation process.   He succeeds interim Superintendent Joseph DiLorenzo.
