Man killed, woman critically injured by passing vehicle

PLEASANT VALLEY – State Police are investigating an incident in which a man was killed and a woman was critically injured when they were struck by a vehicle Friday night.
Troopers were dispatched to a report of people fighting in the roadway on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley at around 9 p.m. Police were told that moments later, the two were struck by a vehicle at the same location.
The victims’ names will be made public when families are notified.
