Vansteenburgh
COPAKE – A Town of Copake man has been charged by State Police with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare as a child, both as misdemeanors.
John Vansteenburgh, 60, of Craryville, and formerly of the Town of Canajoharie in Montgomery County, was arrested after an investigation revealed he had maintained an inappropriate relationship with the child in September 2014. Information leading to his arrest stemmed from several witnesses from Columbia and Montgomery counties.
Vansteenburgh was charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned and released on $400 bail.He was
