Parksville man charged with assaulting EMT at hospital

HARRIS – A Parksville man was arrested by State Police on a charge of assaulting an EMT at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris.
State Police at Liberty were called to a medical incident in Parksville on Wednesday afternoon. Louis Gunderman of Parksville had fallen and hurt his back. He was transported to the hospital and upon arrival, struck an EMT in the eye. He then attempted to fight with the nursing staff at the hospital when they tried to treat him.
Gunderman was charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct and was sent to the Sullivan County Jail.
