ELLENVILLE – Police arrested three brothers in Ellenville on Thursday after they investigated information about possible narcotics trafficking in the area. An early morning search at a residence at 11 River Street resulted in the arrest of the men and the discovery of a marijuana grow house there.
Arrested were Anthony Perretta, 26, Geno Perretta, 21, and Nico Perretta, 20, all of the same address.
Anthony was charged with a violation of parole and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Geno and Nico were each charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana.
Anthony was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail while the other two brothers were released on appearance tickets.
Investigators found a room that was constructed with farm cultivating heat lamps, timers, a dehumidifier, and a hole cut in the side of the house as an exhaust vent. They also found a dresser that was converted into a grow area that contained heat lamps and was lined with foil.
Police seized marijuana plants and packaged marijuana totaling over 24 ounces, along with several narcotics packaging materials and scales.  The street value of the pot was about $5,000, police said.
