Connecticut man arrested in fatal Amenia hit-and-run

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has arrested
a Kent, Connecticut man in connection with the March 19 hit-and-run accident
that claimed the life of Concetta Eastman, a 36-year-old Copake woman.

She was killed on Bog Hollow Road in the Town of Amenia.

Randy Miles, 57, was arrested after he was located and interviewed on
Monday, March 23 in Connecticut and on Tuesday, was turned over to the
Dutchess Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with leaving the
scene of a fatal auto accident as a felony.

The vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash was located in
the Town of Kent on Saturday.

Miles was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash
bail or $50,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
