MIDDLETOWN – A Middletown man has
been arrested by members of the Orange County Child Abuse Unit on charges
of rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Yakeim Hollis, 26, was arrested following an investigation of a report
to the state Child Abuse Hotline on February.
The investigation, conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Social
Services Department’s Child Protective Services, alleged that Hollis
had sex with a child under the age of 17 on more than one occasion in
2014.
Hollis knew the victim.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000
cash bail or bond.
