Two charged with assaulting off-duty FDNY member after St. Pat’s parade

GOSHEN – Two men have been arrested
for putting a 50-year-old off-duty New York City fireman in the hospital
with a fractured eye socket, head trauma and possible broken ribs in an
assault that occurred after the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day parade
in the Village of Goshen on Sunday. The victim was beaten outside Maureen
Mullany’s Pub at 148 West Main Street in Goshen.

Village Police Chief James Watt identified the alleged assailants as Matthew
Hanlon, 29, of Warwick, and Tristan Hoffman, 34, of Goshen. Both were
charged with felony assault and were remanded to the Orange County Jail,
Hanlon on $10,000 bail and Hoffman on $25,000 bail.

The victim was treated at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of
Wallkill.
