No serious injuries in mini-school bus accident

SOMERS – No one was seriously injured when a mini-school bus skidded on icy pavement early Monday morning in the Town of Somers.
State Police said the 7:30 a.m. incident occurred on Route 202 when the bus, owned by Allways East Transportation of Yonkers, was westbound east of Brick Hill Road. The bus skidded on the icy road, crossed lanes and was struck by another car traveling in the opposite direction.
The bus then struck an earth embankment and rock wall and came to rest partially on the other car.
The bus was occupied by three people, including one student who was uninjured. The bus monitor and the operator of the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
