TIVOLI – The state of emergency declared
by Tivoli Mayor Bryan Cranna nearly two weeks ago following ice damage
to the village’s water tower remains in effect as does the executive
order Cranna issued to allow the public works department to purchase materials
and/or services without adhering to the village’s procurement policy.

Major icing occurred in the tower preventing water from entering and exiting.
Currently the village is relying on wells for water. Residents may experience
less water pressure than normal.

The village’s public works department continues to monitor the situation
daily and some progress has been evident, said Cranna. The warmer temperatures
are helping the situation, he said.
