Roscoe man accused in three commercial burglaries

ROSCOE – A Roscoe man was arrested by State Police on Tuesday, March 10 on charges that he broke into local stores and stole merchandise including prescription drugs.
Shane Duquette, 23, allegedly broke into the Medicine Shoppe on Stewart Avenue in Roscoe on January 18 and stole several thousand prescription painkillers. He allegedly broke into the same store on March 9 and stole several thousand additional narcotic painkillers.  As a result of the investigation, several pounds of prescription painkillers were recovered including morphine, Oxycodone, oxycontin, Percoset and methadone.
He was also charged with another January 18 burglary of the Napa Auto Parts store on Cottage Street where cash was stolen.
Duquette was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of burglary. He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
