Motorist killed in wrong-way driver crash on Sprain Brook

GREENBURGH – A driver, who was traveling
in the wrong direction on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh
early Friday morning, slammed head on into a vehicle traveling in the
right direction, killing that motorist.

State Police said the crash occurred just before 4 a.m. Friday when a
2013 Honda Civic was traveling northbound in the southbound lane. As a
result, the Civil struck a 2011 Honda Pilot head-on.

The operator of the Civic was transported to Westchester Medical Center
where he is in a medically induced coma. The driver of the Pilot was killed
as a result of the crash.

Police are withholding the names of the victims pending notification of
relatives.
