Traffic stop leads go gun, drug arrest

BREWSTER – A Brewster man, who was stopped for a traffic violation while driving on Route 6 in the Town of Southeast has been charged with felony criminal possession of a firearm.
State Police also charged Francesco Oliveri, 34, with misdemeanor drug possession for having a controlled substance without a prescription.
Police also found that he had a semi-automatic handgun without a valid pistol permit.
Oliveri was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Southeast Town Court.
