GOSHEN – The Scotchtown Road bridge between the Town of Wallkill and Goshen will be rebuilt starting this spring.  The bridge goes over the Wallkill River.
The current structure, which looks like an erector set placed over old bridge, has directed one-way traffic for the last several years, but County Executive Steven Neuhaus said that will change soon.
“The Scotchtown bridge, which has been out since God knows how long, at least 3 ½ years, is going to be under construction once the weather breaks,” Neuhaus said.
The $4.5 million to $5 million project will be funded through 80 percent federal dollars, 15 percent state money and five percent county funds.
