SAUGERTIES – A Glasco man was arrested on Thursday following a road rage incident on Washington Avenue in the Village of Saugerties.
Police charged Tyler Brinkhuis, 18, with reckless endangerment, violating the village municipal ordinance of possessing of synthetic marijuana, and a probation violation.  He was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
Saugerties Police had received a call for a road rage incident on Washington Avenue and they determined Brinkhuis, who was driving an SUV, had left Saugerties High School in a reckless manner, driving south in the northbound lane directly into the path of an oncoming car. He swerved around the vehicle, nearly striking it. That vehicle was occupied by the driver and a four-month old child, who police determined was Brinkhuis’ own son.
