Man who sold 100 opiate pharmaceuticals to undercover cops arrested

KINGSTON – A Saugerties man was arrested on Tuesday by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team on two charges of criminal sale of drugs and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all as felonies.
James Legg, 51, of Prospect Street in Saugerties, sold some 100 opiate pharmaceuticals to undercover officers.  He was arrested in the Village of Saugerties, arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
Police said the investigation is continuing and further arrests are possible.
