Driver dies after Hummer rams into a snow bank

WEST NYACK – A 56-year-old Central
Nyack man was killed when he lost control of a 2004 Hummer he was driving
on Route 59 in West Nyack at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday and struck a snow bank.

The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of relatives,
died later in the day at Nyack Hospital, Clarkstown Police said.

A 55-year-old female passenger in the vehicle, whose name is also being
withheld, sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. The Clarkstown Police
Accident Investigation Team is investigating and is looking into the possibility
of a medical condition suffered by the driver that may have initiated
the accident.
