Chestnut Ridge fire damages house

CHESTNUT RIDGE – Fire Monday morning at 38 Manis Avenue in the Village of Chestnut Ridge caused significant damage to a house, which was deemed uninhabitable as a result.
Everyone got out of the residence before police and firefighters arrived on the scene at 7:45 a.m.  There were no reported injuries.
At this time, authorities said the fire does not appear to be suspicious, although they did not list a cause.
Fire departments at the scene included South Spring Valley, Monsey, Pearl River, Tallman and Hillcrest. Faist Ambulance and the medics were on the scene
