TOWN OF WALLKILL – The Town of Wallkill has an older bucket truck and has ordered a new one for $225,000.
The Town of Warwick needs a bucket truck so it will purchase Wallkill’s soon-to-be surplused vehicle and share it with the neighboring Town of Wawayanda.
Wallkill Supervisor Daniel Depew said the three-way deal will benefit all parties involved.
“Warwick and Wawayanda are going to co-own that and we are going to be reimbursed with a check from Warwick and an actual police SUV from Wawayanda,” Depew said.
The Wallkill Town Board approved the terms of the sale to Warwick and Wawayanda.
