WASHINGTONVILLE – A man on felony probation is in the Orange County Jail after he was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Washingtonville house.
A neighbor called police just before 11 p.m. on February 1 reporting lights on when no one should be home and that they observed a man leave carrying a large object.  Responding officers found a man walking in the area who matched the caller’s description.
Kyle Scheufele, 25, was questioned by police and admitted that he entered the home and stole a TV and several other electronics that were hidden in the woods. All of the items were recovered.
Scheufele was charged with felony burglary and several misdemeanor crimes.  He is being held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
