Nanuet man charged with robbing dry cleaners

NANUET – A 41-year-old Nanuet man was committed to the Rockland
County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail following his arrest Tuesday night
for allegedly robbing the Four Seasons Cleaners on Smith Road in Nanuet.

Jamie Bass of 14 North Pascack Road in Nanuet was charged by Clarkstown
Police with two counts of felony robbery and misdemeanors of criminal
possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

Police allege Bass entered the store around 6p.m., handed the female clerk
a note demanding money and stating he would shoot her if he didn’t
get any. He also told her he would shoot her if she didn’t give
him cash. He made off with about $100.

A man standing outside the store copied the license plate number of a
taxi the man got into and gave it to police, who tracked Bass down and
