MID-HUDSON – As much as a foot or more of snow was dumped on the
region on Monday morning and in some places, it continued to come down
in the early afternoon.

Snow plows and sanders are out and there are few reported accidents on
area roads.

At Stewart Airport at Newburgh, nine inches of snow were recorded in the
early afternoon with another inch expected by late in the day.

US Air cancelled all flights to Philadelphia. All other flights are being
handled. Jet Blue’s flight from Florida was expected in at mid-afternoon
and Delta is flying and Allegiant was scheduled for late in the afternoon.

General aviation services were also being handled.

Kids are enjoying the weather with another day off from school. While
some of snowboarding and building snowmen, others are going around neighborhoods,
trying to make a few dollars by shoveling out people.
