Troy woman arrested for cashing fraudulent check in Saugerties

SAUGERTIES – A Troy woman is under
arrest on a felony warrant from the Saugerties Police Department.

Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said Jessica Bessette, 24, was arrested by
Village of Nassau Police following a traffic stop.

She was wanted for an incident that occurred on October 16, 2014 at the
Saugerties Mobil Mart on Route 212 in which she allegedly cashed a fraudulent
check.

Police said there also other outstanding warrants for Bessette’s
arrest in the Town of Ulster and City of Kingston.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
