CARMEL – After serving for two years as the president of the Putnam
County Economic Development Corporation, Meghan Taylor is leaving to take
a state job.
Taylor will become the Hudson Valley regional director of the state’s Empire State Development Corporation.  She will replace Aimee Vargas, who has held that state post.
Prior to coming to Putnam County, Taylor was business attraction director for the Orange County Partnership.
Putnam officials will begin a search for a new Economic Development Corporation president.
