NEWBURGH – The state will fund links for additional water sources for Eastern Orange County.
City Manager Michael Ciaravino said the money will be used for interconnections. The city will receive a $600,000 state grant to provide for a backup source of water for Northeast Orange County.
“The project includes upgrades to the City of Newburgh water filtration plant as well as intermunicipal connections between the City of Newburgh and the towns of Newburgh and New Windsor,” Ciaravino said.
Newburgh’s primary water source is Washington Lake.
