GOSHEN – The Orange County Partnership, which for years concentrated its economic development efforts in the commercial and suburban area, has recently join with officials of its three cities to market them for new ventures.
Partnership President Maureen Halahan said the cities of Middletown, Newburgh and Port Jervis are ready-made for development.
“The infrastructure that the cities offer, the old industrial buildings and the workforce that resides in those cities really positions them well for new growth,” Hsaid.
Among the projects planned for old commercial buildings are two craft breweries in Middletown alone. One was developed in Newburgh a couple of years ago.
