GREENPORT – Columbia County sheriff deputies arrested Michael Vaccariello, 24, late on the evening December 27 and charged him as a fugitive from justice.
Vaccariello was stopped operating a vehicle on Fairview Avenue in the Town of Greenport for several traffic infractions. Further investigation at the scene revealed that he was wanted out of the State of Florida on a felony charge. He was also arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Viccariello was placed in the Columbia County Jail with no bail pending another court appearance.
