Man pleads guilty to residential break in

KINGSTON – The second of three men involved in a residential break in at a Gardiner home in August of last year Monday pled guilty to first-degree burglary.

Jeffrey Hecht entered the plea in Ulster County Court in Kingston.

Hecht, Michal Cioto and Robert Tozzi went to the home, lured the victim outside where they held him at gunpoint and forced him back into the home. Once inside, they pistol-whipped and robbed him.

Cioto was convicted of first-degree burglary last week. Tozzi had previously pled guilty to the same charge.

Hecht, who has a prior criminal record including for a felony conviction for burglary, will be sentenced next month.
