Demolition derby driver hits $1 million lottery

MIDDLETOWN – A plumber who moonlights as a pit crew member and demolition derby driver at the Orange County Speedway has hit a $1 million New York State Lottery prize and the state is going to introduce him to the world on Wednesday.

The Lottery said the winner will “fast track” his retirement with the winnings.

He will be accompanied by modified dirt racing champion Steve Dodd and his #88 car.
