| Orange County needs recycling director, says Marino |
|
GOSHEN – Orange County has the position of recycling coordinator on the books, but no one has the job. County Legislator Anthony Marino of the Town of Newburgh, chairman of the Education and Economic Development Committee, said lawmakers would like to see it filled. “The position was created but has not been officially filled so we are really saying that Orange County should that position, not with a new person, but someone perhaps from DPW or from the environmental facilities office where that person could share that duty with something that he or she is already doing,” he said. Marino is also chairman of the county’s Green Study Committee, which has advocated for a number of environmentally sound practices for future building.
