Construction underway for new DynaBil facility

Coxsackie – Ground was broken Thursday for a new DynaBil Industries facility in the Greene Business and Technology Park in Coxsackie. The company currently operates at a smaller business park in the same town, but it has outgrown its space. The new facility will enable it to add 120 jobs bringing its workforce to 300.

In addition to DynaBil, which manufactures aerospace parts for the military and helicopters, the Galesi Group will construct a 400,000 SF high tech facility in the future positioning the county for more business attraction and job growth, said Greene County Industrial Development Agency Executive Director Sandy Mathis.

“We seem to be gaining some real traction in our marketing to be a real positive location for the supply chain to support the semiconductor industry and photovoltaic industry because of IBM and Phillips to the south and AMD to the north,” he said.

Already in the business park are a Save-A-Lot warehouse and distribution center, and a Bank of Greene County branch.

A Mount Vernon developer has an option on the remaining 20 acres of the business park and plans to build a grocery store, said Mathes.
