FAA grants Stewart $1.3 million for upgrading infrastructure

WASHINGTON – The Federal Aviation Administration has approved a grant of $1.28 million to Stewart Airport to upgrade miscellaneous infrastructure under the Airport Improvement Program.

The grant will provide federal funding to replace existing cables and circuits for navigational aid equipment at the Newburgh airport.

The project will replace aging electrical conduits and circuits, therefore uninterrupted electrical service will continue to be provided to all critical navigational aids.

The grant will be administered by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates Stewart.
