| Central Hudson alerts customers of unauthorized e-mails |
|
POUGHKEEPSIE - An e-mail has been issued from a party posing as Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, offering to send information on “special promotions, services or new vehicles.” The message misspells the word “Electric” as “Elecric” in the subject line and message body. Central Hudson officials said Wednesday as they respect customer privacy, this e-mail has not been issued or authorized by Central Hudson or by parties representing the utility. The utility recommends that those receiving this e-mail should proceed with caution, and suggests that customers should not click on any links nor respond to the e-mail. The e-mail is not related to or associated with Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation in any way, company officials said. |
