Fast food restaurant held up

POUGHKEEPSIE – Town of Poughkeepsie Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Taco Bell restaurant at 755 Main Street early Sunday morning.

An employee was approached at about 1:30 a.m. by a suspect described as a black male, wearing a white shirt with a brown stripe, white shorts and a blue hat.

He pulled a black handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. There were no injuries.

Anyone with information about the holdup is asked to call Poughkeepsie Town Police at 845-485-3666. All calls will be kept confidential.
