NEW YORK – Westchester County Board of Legislators Chairman William Ryan was released from the hospital this weekend after undergoing heart bypass surgery last week.

He is resting at home and said to be making a steady recovery, the legislative office said Monday.

Ryan had gone to the hospital initially for a less invasive procedure; however, the doctors admitted him and performed the surgery.
