Man charged with killing ex-girlfriend indicted by a grand jury

Ville-Santos

GOSHEN – Julio Valle-Santos, the ex-boyfriend of Gloria Molina-Rivera of Middletown was indicted Wednesday by an Orange County grand jury.

Valle-Santos, 51,  allegedly stabbed repeatedly and slit the victim’s throat with a knife in her Tall Oaks apartment in Middletown on Thursday, August 21.  Police described as a particularly brutal killing.

Details of the indictment cannot be revealed yet, said District Attorney Frank Phillips.

Because the indictment has not yet been filed in County Court, he could not reveal the details. It will likely be filed next week with Valle-Santos arraigned shortly thereafter.

When arrested by Middletown City Police last Thursday night, he was charged with murder in the second degree.
